Rose Villa is an independent, non-profit Senior Community, and we are seeking an Activities & Volunteer Coordinator to support the 40 elders living in our person-centered nursing home—Madrona Grove Supportive Living.
The Activities & Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing meaningful, fun, and engaging activities that build upon each resident’s individual strengths and match their interests. The person in this position must be able to see beyond a person’s physical or cognitive limitations and support them to live full and meaningful lives. This person works with minimal supervision and must bring their “A” game every day.
Must have completed a State of Oregon approved activities director course and obtained certification, or be willing to do so within 6 months from the date of hire. Experience in long-term care and particularly in working with people with dementia is a huge plus. Experience in music or art therapy is also a huge bonus. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
